As specified by UML specification 2.5.1 'coregion' is short hand for parallel combined fragment within a single lifeline when the order of the event occurences is irrelevant.
To my knowledge using plantuml one has to add 'par combined fragments' even in simple cases which is to much graphical overhead, at least to me.
