Hi PlantUML team,

Can you embed a Japanese font in the reference guide PDF?

The Japanese version of the reference guide (PlantUML_Language_Reference_Guide_ja.pdf) contains a Chinese font SimSun, but no Japanese fonts.
As a result, some characters are displayed with Chinese glyphs.
It is possible to read it, but I (and probably many Japanese) feel uncomfortable with the font.

Hi,

Many thanks for your feedback! We are sorry about that : I must say that we cannot read neither Japanese nor Chinese.

However, we fully understand the issue and we want to fix it. So we've made a quick try with "MS Mincho" font. See http://beta.plantuml.net/PlantUML_Language_Reference_Guide_ja.pdf

There is also a version in "Arial Unicode MS" http://beta.plantuml.net/PlantUML_Language_Reference_Guide_ja-Arial.pdf

This is not the final versions, but can you tell us which font is more comfortable for you ?

Thanks again !

Thanks for your quick response.

The Japanese glyphs are now displayed correctly in both versions.
I think the MS Mincho version is the more legible.
