align split columns vertically to top, instead of to centered

Question

The columns created by split, split again, end split, are centered vertically. I would like them to be aligned to the top of the columns.

A short column would start at the top of the diagram.

Is that possible?

I'm imagining something like:

skinparam ActivitySplitAlignment top

I'm not aware of an existing option for that, sounds like a wanted feature.

As a manually-intensive workaround, you can use labels to add padding.
