Formatting for multipart autonumbers

Hello,

I'm trying to get some formatting working on a multi-part autonumber and having quite the time with it. For instance:

autonumber "<font color=red><b>1.0.0"

or

autonumber 1.0.0
autonumber "<font color=red><b>"

or

autonumber "<font color=red><b>"
autonumber 1.0.0

None of these will render a bold, red, autonumber.

Additionally, I don't think there's support for individually formatting each sub-number like:

autonumber "<font color=red><b>1</b>.<i>0</i>.<u>0</u>"

Are either of these possible?
