How can I control layouting to get a better visibility on big UML class diagrams?

I created a class diagram and the classes are layed out in a way so that the connections (inheritance, associations) cannot be followed anymore. Do I have any change to influence the layouting process? I already used "together", but that's a tedious task and does not give good results either.

Could you test `left to right direction`?

And see if the layout is better or not..
