Maven plugin / how to generate png (other format) in maven

Hello,

I'm working on project where I've introduced PlantUml. It's going to be more directories which will contain one or more *.puml files. 

My question is, how to automatically generate png (or other format) from *.puml files using maven. I've found this plugin https://github.com/jeluard/maven-plantuml-plugin but it seems to be outdated.
