The new activity syntax and rendering, especially, is most welcomed! Prior to it, I was lamenting having no good flowcharting tool, but this new syntax supports both traditional activity diagrams and true flowcharts. The only enhacement I could see would be to add more flowcharting components, so it can be used not on as a hybrid state/petri net generator (combined with the state diagrams), but as a full-fledged flowcharting and diagram tool, with components such as databases, network elements, and a wider variety of arrows--selected by context, not format, of course. You can always override format.
