Yes, there are plan, but we are (very) late on this.

Anyway, weve just pushed version 8022 to https://github.com/plantuml/plantuml

Future version should be pushed to...

Tell us if it's ok for you.

Is there anything I can do to help moving the active development of PlantUML to GitHub? I'm maintaining and contributing to a number of open source projects there and have been using Git professionally for 5 years, so I would love to contribute and help with the move. Having the source code and development process (issues, discussions, etc.) on SourceForge makes it a lot less visible and harder for people to contribute, I think.

Totally agree! It would be much nicer and easier to have whole development on the github!
 * Continues Integration
 * Releases (!)
 * Issues Tracker
 * Wiki

It's *2018*, I think the time has come to finally make a move!

...and another year passes...

What is the plan? Can people help you out with it?

Personally, if transitioning to GitHub is not going to happen then I'd rather see that stated somewhere and stop this pretence and false expectation.
