Why is it called PlantUML?

Why is it called PlantUML?  Where are the plants?  Can I get Triffods with the UML diagrams I produce? smiley

Hi,

Because PlantUML is like a Plant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_plant that creates UML diagrams.

So to summarise, Plant refers to the necessary infrastructure used in support and maintenance of a given facility or project.
