I think there's a bug with using the linetype ortho on component diagrams - the example below:
shows the 'T&L' label on the horizontal line (- or .) , and this with 'skinparam lineType ortho' uncommented and no other differences (click through to see the scripts):
does not show the label - note: the other vertical (-- or ..) labels remain visible.
