I would like to understand the generalization in use case diagrams better.

Let's assume we have a following case.

Can actor A or B use USECASE UC2?

Answer 1

The interpretation is as follows

• A can use UC1, because there is a direct association between the two
• B can use UC1, because B is a type of A
• A can use UC2, because UC2 is a type of UC1
• B can use UC2, because UC2 is a type of UC1 and B is a type of A
